Can't Login To Your Mac
1) Identify what login screen you are at
- Filevault (regular mac login screen) - proceed to step 2
- Kandji (The republic branded login screen) - proceed to step 3
2) Filevault login screen
- username - this is you mac username. Most of the time this is everything before the @ in you email (e.g. john.smith)
- if this fails please try "firstname lastname"
- if you are still logged into your mac you can identify this by following step 4
- password - okta password
if you need help finding this username please raise an IT Support ticket
3) Kandji / Republic Login Screen
- username - your email address (e.g. john.smith@republic.com)
- password - okta password
4) Identify your filevault username
- To find the username open Terminal (found in Applications > Utilities).
- Type the command: whoami
- Press Enter. The Terminal will display your username.
- The top of the terminal window will also display your username
